Richard's family moved to Portland in 1966, and he has remained a Portlander since then. He graduated from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1999. Before attending law school, Rich worked for 14 years as a labor relations administrator for the Pacific Maritime Association. The knowledge and experience he gained regarding the operations and practices of the maritime longshore industry, working with union members, and negotiating and administering labor-management contracts, has been specifically important to Richard's law practice, which focuses on personal injury and representation of individuals in maritime and longshore workers' compensation matters.
