  • Mary assists closely held businesses with selecting a business entity; navigating employee and administrative matters; and negotiating and documenting contractual agreements. Mary also guides personal representatives and trustees through probate and trust administration and prepares wills, trusts, and other estate planning and business succession documents. Before entering private practice, Mary served as a graduate student assistant with the California State Board of Equalization and as a judicial clerk with the Oregon Tax Court.

    Mary serves as Co-Chair of the Membership Committee of Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS), and she previously served as President of Queen’s Bench, the Multnomah County Chapter of OWLS. Mary was a co-founder of the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section Mentor Program, and she has mentored several new lawyers through that program as well as the Oregon State Bar New Lawyer Mentor Program.

    Outside of the office, Mary is found knitting, gardening, and following the Oregon State Beavers.
